Hey guys! I really feel like starting up WoW again, but I'm having trouble deciding whether or not I should. Playing WoW with Macabre was so fun for me. I loved being part of a community that was skilled, friendly and determined to succeed like Macabre was and is. I see that Macabre is still owning, which is awesome. Great job guys. I miss many of you, I'll try to hop on vent and chat some time. Things are going well for me now, I'm applying to Pharmacy school, and should be starting that next year.

I never deleted/sold Derv, so I still have that option, but I need some time to assess my situation and how much time I will have. What is your attendance policy these days? How often do you raid/what days and how many hours per week do you expect from a guild member? I expect that I would have to go through the application process if I started up again, which is understandable. I would probably need a week or so to get rid of the rust.

Anyway, how are things? I wanna hear from all of those that I knew and loved. :D

Sup Derv! Glad to hear things are goin well. To hear that you quit and didn't delete might be a server first. With TBC around the corner, our raiding policies are bound to change quite a bit. It is hard to say how they will be right now, so I couldn't really tell you.

If you want to come back, come test the waters.

Haha, yeah I remember that... I also had the Spirit of Aquamenas (or whatever it was called) that was an offhand that gave -25 mana to spells... was sick. LoF was a funny guild, I remember I got kicked for some really stupid reason, I think Kalami or whatever his name was just didn't like having another priest that might be better than him.. :P Anyway, I know some of you were friends with him or whatever so no offense meant. Thinking about those days makes me think about the day they nerfed the -mana cost stuff, that sucked, lol. I'm pretty sure Derv is still wearing the Choker though. Never got anything better.

lol Derv you may not know me, but I remember inspecting you back in the day when I was just a baby dwarf (lvl 60... just not serious about the character), you were one of the only priests around w/ full mp/5 + regen gear. Nice to see oldschoolers thinkin' about coming back.

Hmm, I don't think I remember you. Yeah, +mp/5 is the shit. I remember back in the day when they first starting introducing it to gear, people didn't know if it was good or bad. A lot of priests still thought they were as good as their base mana pool. Those were the days.

I didn't dilly dally with that sort of thing though, I remember calculating the mana difference as a function of time and what percent of that time was spent with full spirit regen, and I also figured in meditation and Transcendence 3 piece bonus. (I still have the excel file, although I remember when I tried to inform people about it before it didn't go over well.) That was before they started putting in gear with mana regen and +healing though.

The +healing throws a whole new twist on things, especially with all the talent changes they made. Around the time when I quit they just started putting +healing AND +mana regen onto items that seemed good to me. Before it was just all +healing and int/stam, which didn't seem useful if you were running low on mana all the time. With all the +mana regen, spirit, and the +healing on gear things must be a lot different.

I would like to hear what your talent builds are like. The Imp. Divine Spirit looks pretty hot, which of the priests has that? Is Circle of Healing any good? The Light Well seems like it wouldn't be that useful, but I'm not familiar with the new raid instances. It looks like they changed Spirit of Redemption as well, but I still don't think I would get it. Does anyone have Pain Suppression or Power Infusion? I feel like I would stop at Imp. Divine Spirit if nobody else in the guild had it, then go into Holy. Holy Concentration looks good, but it's a low %, does it proc much? Anyone have it? Surge of Light is kind of funny too, but I don't think I would get it, it would just distract me from healing.

My build would probably be Silent Resolve, Inner Focus, Meditation (Ownage talent), then I would get Imp. DS if nobody else had it. For Holy I would go Healing Focus, Holy Spec, Spell Warding, Blessed Recovery, Inspiration, Imp Healing, Healing Prayers, Spiritual Guidance, (and if I din't have to get Imp. DS) Spiritual Healing and Holy Conc.

Anyway, nice to meet you Johnlok, Maybe I'll see you in-game sometime, then I'll be the one inspecting you and checking your gear out. :P

It's pretty fun with Surge of Light, only thing I dont like about it is that I do notice a difference with only 1 point in holy reach. On some Naxx fights it comes to bite you in the ass, but we only have two more weeks of raiding left before the xpac, so I'll manage

-Pain suppression... as far as I've heard it's pretty trashy. You're dead before you can use it if you're focus fired in PVP. Plus it can be dispelled/purged right off.

-Circle of Healing... haven't tried it, nor have I heard anything good about it.

-Holy concentration is meh, it could be useful.. but being that it has such a low proc rate... and can only proc off Flash and Greater Heals.

-Divine spirit was and always is beneficial, but since they buffed Spirit of Redemption to give 5% more spirit I got rid of it. I think John and Kalince still might have it.

-Blessed recovery, I remember it being sucky. Something along the lines that if you get crit twice in a row that it wont stack or refresh... something along those lines of suckiness. I dont think any of our priests have it.

-Spell warding is a solid PvE talent, though I've never had it for PvP.

But yea man, good to see you're alive and well.

nah, I dont think any of us have it. No reason you should need it really unless you're a PvE shadow priest, and even if you can always fade.
